Tea that has undergone full fermentation is known as Black Tea, or Red Tea (Hong-Cha) as it
is called in China. This tea accounts for most of the tea drunk in the West. Recent studies have shown that Black Tea helps you de-stress quickly from daily stresses. It does this by reducing the levels of cortisol, a stress hormone, in the body.
Black tea should be brewed using freshly boiled water and left to steep for approximately 3 - 5 minutes, depending on personal taste. The tea produces a reddish-brown liquor with a malt-like aroma. |
