Genuine Japanese Genmaicha Tea, don't be fooled by cheaper Chinese imitations. A traditional favourite in Japan, originally made by peasant farmers unable to afford large quantities of tea. Today this japanese tea is enjoyed by all sections of society. Also known as a 'Popcorn Tea' Genmaicha is a blend of steamed green tea and roasted hulled rice kernels with popped corn. The tea has a refreshing full bodied taste, embracing a sweet toasted, almost nutty flavour. A very popular green tea, with a pale yellowish-green colour. It is ideal for unwinding at the end of the day. The tea goes well with Asian food. |

| Brewing suggestions Use one good sized teaspoon of Genmaicha per cup. Heat the water until it is steaming but not boiling (80-90°C). Infuse the leaves for approximately 3 - 5 minutes. |
