Tea? Te? or Cha?

The name 'TEA' depends on the dialect of the Chinese language used. In the Chinese Amoy dialect, the word 'Te' (pronounced tay) is used. This has been adopted by the English, Dutch, French and most other European Languages.
However, in Mandarin Chinese the word 'Cha' is used for tea. This was adopted by the Portuguese as 'Cha', Persian and Hindi as 'Shai', Arabic as 'Ja' and Russian as 'Chai'.
